About me
I specialise in documentary and factual productions, joining forces with clients such as the BBC, Sky Sports, BT Sports and Disney amongst many other prestigious production companies and organisations.
I pride myself in capturing the best sequences of actions to create a strong sense of narrative in any situation.
My expertise covers a broad range of camera equipment, underwater filming equipment and drones. Additionally I have a commercial drone license and permission to fly from the CAA.
My production credits include a number of short segments for the BBC Springwatch digital team, covering both field and studio based projects. After positive reception these segments are being made into a feature length film about British macro wildlife, from mating newts to hunting Wolf Spiders. (not in association with the BBC)
I have been part of many underwater shoots with an HSE part IV media diving license and all my own equipment. I have over 600 logged dives in an array of conditions and environments from the North Sea to the tropics. The HSE license also enables me to supervise media diving from a boat or onshore/in the water.
My most recent education was completing a Masters Degree in Wildlife Filmmaking with the BBC Natural History Unit in 2013. During this year long course, I had the honour and opportunity to work with many leading wildlife film producers, camera operators and directors. The whole thing was an amazing process, gaining industry experience and working on actual productions.
I also have a degree in Television Production and Screen/online media, which I completed in 2010. This was where I produced my first ever film at the age of 20. In the 11 years since then, I have been lucky enough to work on productions for the BBC, including two series with Kate Humble, about sheep dogs and Welsh wildlife, Sky Sports; a successful series about fishing. BT Sports, two series about (sustainable) fishing. I have also carried out drone work for Disney. (Star Wars)
The highlight of my career so far, was being asked to interview and film Sir David Attenborough at his house. This was for an Australian wildlife conservation organisation.
I'm passionate about working on a multitude of different projects and love to get involved in anyway.
